Type: Temp – 3 months Initially
Hours:
Saturday & Sunday – 08:45-19:00 or 19:00-01:30
Monday-Friday – 17:15-01:30 (on a needs basis)
Salary: £14-£17ph plus holiday pay
Sellick Partnership are seeking a Business Support Officer to join our client\’s Emergency Duty Team (Out-of-Hours).
This is a vital role supporting a service that deals with serious and often sensitive situations. Callers can be distressed, so the post requires someone who can stay calm, listen carefully and respond with empathy, while still managing information accurately and professionally.
Key responsibilities:
Predominantly call taking via the Cirrus phone system
Processing referrals through the referral portal
Liaison with the Team Manager and on-duty Social Workers
Working as part of Business Support alongside a small number of Business Support OfficersKey skills:
Good communication
Confident and professional
Experience with urgent/emergency call handling
Resilience
EmpathyThe EDT service manages very serious issues, and while there is strong support from managers on duty, the role requires someone with a good level of resilience.
