Sellick Partnership are supporting a large public sector organisation in South Yorkshire with the recruitment of a Systems Accountant to support the implementation and ongoing development of a new finance system.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading finance workstreams during a major finance system implementation
  • Acting as the finance systems subject matter expert for system design, testing, and configuration
  • Working with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure successful delivery
  • Managing system improvements, upgrades, and ongoing development
  • Supporting financial controls, reporting, compliance, and audit requirements
  • Delivering finance systems training and user support across the organisation

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A recognised professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent)
  • Experience of finance system implementation, transformation, or major upgrades
  • Strong financial accounting and finance systems knowledge
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and complex organisations
  • Excellent Excel, systems, and problem-solving skills
