An established and highly regarded private client law practice is seeking an experienced Private Client Legal Secretary to join its busy and growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional and proactive individual with a strong background in private client law to provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support within a collaborative environment.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience within a private client department and be confident managing a varied workload while delivering exceptional client service.
Responsibilities- Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to fee earners
- Audio and copy typing of legal documents and correspondence
- Managing diaries, appointments and meetings
- Preparing legal forms and documentation, including probate and estate administration paperwork
- Assisting with the preparation of IHT400 forms and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
- Handling client communications via telephone, email and in person
- Providing reception and front-of-house support when required
- Maintaining accurate client records and filing systems
- Supporting the wider team to ensure efficient delivery of legal services
- Experience in legal secretarial and audio typing duties
- Experience within a private client or probate department
- Experience preparing probate forms and LPAs
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams
- Experience using legal case management systems; knowledge of LEAP would be advantageous
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively to deadlines
- Professional and client-focused approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Driving licence and access to own transport
