Sellick Partnership is working exclusively with a highly acquisitive, market-leading organisation to recruit a Head of Mergers & Acquisitions. This is a pivotal leadership role where you can shape and deliver a high-impact M&A strategy in a dynamic, fast-growing business.
The Role
As Head of M&A, you will act as the visible external face of the organisation's deal activity while working closely with the CEO and executive leadership team to drive long-term strategic growth. You will lead the full M&A lifecycle - from origination through to execution and integration - ensuring delivery of a robust pipeline of opportunities and successful transaction outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy: Partner with executive leadership to define and execute the group's M&A strategy aligned to long-term objectives
- Origination & Evaluation: Identify, assess and prioritise acquisition targets, including financial modelling and valuation analysis
- Transaction Leadership: Lead end-to-end deal execution including negotiations, structuring, due diligence and completion
- Integration: Oversee post-acquisition integration to maximise synergies, value creation and operational alignment
- Stakeholder Management: Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, including preparing board-level presentations
- Pipeline Delivery: Build and maintain a sustainable M&A pipeline, delivering multiple transactions annually ranging from bolt-ons to larger strategic deals
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure robust governance, risk management and audit processes across all transactions
The Ideal Candidate
- ACA / ACCA / CPA (or equivalent) qualified
- Proven track record in M&A, corporate finance, private equity or investment banking
- Strong deal execution experience across the full transaction lifecycle
- Commercially astute with excellent strategic and analytical capabilities
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, including board-level exposure
- Experience operating in a complex, fast-paced environment
