Salary: £55,700 - £62,500 (plus potential market supplement)

Overview of the Senior Contracts Lawyer role:

Sellick Partnership is delighted to be partnered with a County Council in the home counties on the recruitment of a Senior Contracts Lawyer, on a permanent basis. Due to continued growth, this County Council is seeking a Contracts Lawyer to join their Legal Services team, to provide high quality legal advice and support the council. This opportunity can be offered on a fully remote working basis.

Key responsibilities of the Senior Contracts Lawyer role:

  • You will be responsible for drafting, advising on and reviewing a varied range of high value contract and procurement matters on behalf of this Local Authority, to include:
    • Contracts for Goods, Works and Services
    • Construction contracts, including NEC4 and JCT contracts
    • Framework Agreements
  • There is the opportunity for the successful candidate to supervise more junior members within the team.

Required experience for the Senior Contracts Lawyer:

  • A qualification as a Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive, with current practising certificate.
  • Proven experience specifically within public sector contracts and procurement.
  • Experience working within a local authority, public sector, or similar in-house legal environment is advantageous.
