Overview of the Housing Solicitor Position

If you’re a housing solicitor who enjoys advocacy, managing your own caseload, and being part of a collaborative team, this is an opportunity worth exploring.

You’ll be joining a well-established housing provider at an exciting stage of growth and transformation. With a significant expansion of its housing portfolio planned over the coming years, the legal team is taking on increasingly varied and complex work. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and ambitious Housing Solicitor to take on greater responsibility and work closely with key stakeholders.

The Housing Solicitor will be responsible for providing high-quality legal advice and representation across landlord and tenant matters such as:

  • Tenancy Fraud
  • Managing a paralegal and supporting and assisting in the supervision of junior staff as required
  • Represent clients in court, tribunals, and other legal proceedings
  • Monitor a legal inbox and provide legal advice to clients across the business

Experience/qualifications required for the Housing Solicitor position:

  • Proven experience managing a diverse caseload across landlord and tenant matters and knowledge of housing legislation, case law, and the Civil Procedure Rules
  • Demonstrable advocacy experience and strong drafting skills
