An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Information Governance Lead, offering you an exciting opportunity to support the information governance processes of the public sector organisation. The role is initially for 4 weeks, with the possibility of extension while recruiting on a permanent basis.

As Information Governance Lead, your work will be varied across the whole range of information governance activity and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Management of one Data Protection Officer
  • Particular focus on support Freedom of Information and Data Protection processes
  • Co-ordinating response processes across all the directorates in the organisation
  • Preparing responses for those requests requiring public interest considerations
  • Ensuring the Council complies with the associated statutory requirements and deadlines for performance

The role can be worked on a remote basis aside from IT collection on the first day. Public sector experience is preferable, however our client may be happy to consider experience gained in other sectors.
