Locum Prosecutions Solicitor

Locum Prosecutions Solicitor£50 – £55 per hour umbrellaNorth West Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for a Prosecutions Solicitor to join a friendly and well-respected local authority based in the North West. The role will be for an initial 3 – 6 month period with a strong possibility of this being extended. The successful Prosecutions Solicitor will be able to ‘hit the ground running’ and manage their own caseload of prosecution matters, which will may include matters such as:Environmental/Waste ProsecutionLicensingHealth and SafetyProviding legal advice and services in a responsible and professional manner to the various departments within the regulatory bodyRepresenting the organisation in external meetings, events, and legal proceedings You will need to be able to undertake ad hoc advocacy in person in the North West approximately once or twice a month. While previous experience working within local government is desirable, qualified solicitors from a private practice background will be considered.
