A well-regarded local authority in the North West is seeking an enthusiastic Childcare Legal Assistant to join their friendly Legal team on a locum basis. The contract will be a 3-month contract due to an increase in caseloads and pending permanent recruitment.
The ideal Legal Assistant will have previous experience in childcare law and in particular, in handling the following matters:
- Assisting fee earners in progressing public law proceedings
- Ensuring compliance with court orders and smooth running of court proceedings in the support of solicitors
- Bundling, seeking compliance with outside agencies with court directions and a strong understanding of GDPR and redaction of documents
The candidate is expected to have experience as a legal assistant or solicitor in case holding public law proceedings and hold a legal qualification. My client is happy to consider candidates from both public and private sector backgrounds, but you must demonstrate that you have the relevant experience.
