Our client, a Borough Council in the North West is seeking a Head of Legal and Deputy Monitoring Officer on an interim basis, pending permanent recruitment. This position is to start as soon as possible, and the successful Head of Legal will ideally be available to work full-time hours, on a hybrid basis. Whilst this opportunity would be well-suited to a candidate who has previously undertaken a Head of Legal position, candidates with management experience who are looking to undertake a more senior role will be considered.
Responsibilities of the Head of Legal will include:
- The successful Head of Legal will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Legal Services team, which includes over 30 members of staff
- Handling a caseload of matters
- Deputising for the Director of Legal Services
