Local Authority Childcare Paralegal We are seeking an experienced Childcare Paralegal to join one of our long-standing local authority clients on an ongoing locum basis.
This is a fully remote opportunity to join an experienced and supportive legal team, providing essential paralegal support to lawyers managing a busy caseload of care proceedings.
Responsibilities will include: Working closely with the local authority's childcare lawyers, you will provide day-to-day support across a varied caseload.
Your responsibilities will include
Assisting lawyers with the management and progression of care proceedings.
Supporting with pre-proceedings/PLO cases, including preparing and organising case documentation.
Reviewing, collating and indexing evidence and court bundles.
Preparing and drafting routine legal documents and correspondence.
Liaising with social workers, professionals, counsel and other parties involved in cases.
Assisting with case preparation for hearings and ensuring court deadlines are met.
Maintaining accurate case management records and monitoring key dates.
Providing general administrative and paralegal support to the childcare legal team.
Experience of pre-proceedings work would be advantageous.
