Sellick Partnership is pleased to be recruiting for a locum Litigation Lawyer on behalf of a well-established London Local Authority.
The council is offering an initial 3-month contract but has said this is likely to be extended on a rolling basis pending potential permanent recruitment in the new year. This role is full-time, and the successful candidate will ideally be able to attend the office a couple of times per week.
This role will be the perfect opportunity for someone who wants a variety of work and will offer a complex caseload of litigation matters. The position also provides the opportunity to conduct advocacy in court if desired.
The successful Litigation Lawyer role will manage a varied caseload, so experience in the following areas will be beneficial:
- Judicial review, including CYP and Adult debt recovery
- Social care JR challenges
- Education
- No recourse to public funds
- Homelessness
- Prosecutions
- Licensing
The successful candidate is required to be a fully qualified Lawyer (Solicitor, Barrister or CILEx) and ideally from a Local Government background.
