Sellick Partnership are delighted to be currently recruiting an experienced Contracts Lawyer to join a busy but friendly London Council. Our client is looking for a Contracts Lawyer who has experience dealing with a variety of commercial contracts and procurement matters to join their team on a permanent basis. This opportunity is on a hybrid working basis, with a preference for one to two days per week in the office. Our client is ideally seeking someone who is able to work full-time hours. This role is an excellent opportunity for a qualified contracts lawyer who is looking to develop their skills in a friendly and highly experienced team.
Key responsibilities of the Contracts Lawyer:
- Dealing with matters relating to commercial contracts and procurement matters including:
- Dealing with the new procurement act
- Construction contracts
- Framework agreements
- Provider selection regime and contracts relating to public health
Experience/qualifications required for the Contracts Lawyer position:
- Must be a qualified Lawyer (Solicitor, Barrister or CILEx) with a current practising certificate - all PQE levels will be considered
- Able to work on a hybrid basis one to two days per week in the office
- This role requires someone who is able to work full-time; part-time requests will be considered
- You must have strong experience in contracts law ideally from within a local authority setting; knowledge of local authority governance is key for this role
