Sellick Partnership are pleased to be working alongside a reputable London authority to recruit an Employment Lawyer to join their Employment, Education and Adults social care team. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to undertake varied, high-quality work with likeminded and supportive colleagues who are committed to public service and excellent client care.

About the Employment Lawyer position:

  • The Employment Lawyer will be required to carry a full caseload of employment law matters, provide legal advice and handle Employment Tribunal claims.
  • There may also be an opportunity to take on work relating to education law.
  • The Employment Lawyer will advise and have conduct of legal files on behalf of four local authorities, as well as schools.

The successful candidate will ideally have substantial experience in Employment Law and be able to pick up a caseload from the outset. Less experienced applicants with the right personal qualities and approach to client care will also still be considered.

Experience/qualifications required for the Employment Lawyer role:

  • You must be a qualified Lawyer (Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX with Advocacy Rights) with a current practising certificate.
  • Able to work on a hybrid basis from home and at our base in Harrow (or at client offices if required).
  • Able to work full-time hours; requests to work 4 days per week will be considered.
  • Candidates from both the public and private sector are encouraged to apply for this position with the transferable skills.
