Fitness to Practise Paralegal (Regulatory)

Full-time – Fixed Term Contract

About the Role:

You will be working as a Fitness to Practise Caseworker for a regulatory law team within a professional healthcare regulator in London. You will play a key role in the Fitness to Practise team, handling your own caseload of Fitness to Practise (FTP) cases, whilst providing administrative support to the wider team to ensure a smooth-running process.

This role is a fixed term contract for 3 months which offers the opportunity for the role to become permanent.

Key responsibilities:
The successful candidate for Fitness to Practise Caseworker role will be required to:

  • Liaise with complainants to ensure their enquiries can be opened as a Section 20 complaint
  • Draft case plans for new, less complex cases
  • Conduct investigatory and preparatory work for allocated cases
  • Gather evidence and take witness statements
  • Administrative duties to support the FtP Investigators and Practise Committees

Key Requirements:

The ideal candidate for the Fitness to Practise Caseworker role will have:

  • Previous administrative experience, ideally within a regulatory setting (essential)
  • Proven track record of delivering excellent customer/client care (essential)
  • Experience dealing with Fitness to Practise cases (desirable)
