Our client, a Local Authority based in Essex is seeking an experienced Housing Disrepair Lawyer to join their Legal Services team on an ongoing locum basis, pending permanent recruitment.
Part-time or full-time working hours will be considered. Office attendance will be required weekly.
Responsibilities of the Housing Disrepair Lawyer:- Manage a caseload of housing litigation matters, with a particular focus on disrepair cases, dealing with cases from pre-litigation through to conclusion of litigation
- Set up and implement new processes with regards to housing disrepair workload
- Workload may also include dealing with wider housing matters, to include possession proceedings, injunctions, closure orders and enforcement cases
- Prior experience within housing disrepair law
- Strong understanding of the pre-action protocol for housing conditions claims and the litigation process
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or equivalent
