A North West local authority is seeking an experienced SEND / Education Solicitor to join their legal team on a locum basis, with fully remote working available. The contract will run for an initial 3-6 months, with a strong likelihood of extension.

The Role:

  • Managing a caseload of SEND matters, including EHCPs, SEND Tribunal work and transition appeals
  • Providing legal advice to education services on complex SEND issues
  • Supporting statutory duties within a local authority setting

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor (or equivalent)
  • Strong SEND experience within Education Law
  • Previous local authority experience preferred
  • Available to start at short notice
