Sellick Partnership are working with a reputable London Council to recruit a Senior Housing Lawyer to join their team on a locum basis.

About the role:

The role will initially be offered on a three-month contract, with the potential for a longer-term extension. The Council can accommodate a hybrid working arrangement and would prefer the successful Senior Lawyer to attend the office once per week.

The successful Senior Housing Lawyer will have a strong understanding of local authority statutory duties and substantial, recent experience in the following:

  • Disrepair
  • Homelessness
  • Judicial review
  • Possession proceedings
  • Antisocial Behaviour
  • Advocacy covering injunction hearings

About you:

You will be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with thorough knowledge of civil litigation and housing law, ideally gained from working in local government. Candidates with extensive knowledge from the private sector or other public sector organisations may also be considered.
