Locum Contract : Full Time 12 months+

Rate : £31 PAYE or £43 Umbrella per hour

Annual equivalent of £61,200

Central London, Manchester, Leeds or Bristol

A very exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employment Lawyer to join a specialist Central Government department. My client is looking for a passionate well-versed individual who has extensive knowledge of Employment Law, with previous employment advisory and litigation experience applicable in a large scope of circumstances.

This a fantastic opportunity to gain really interesting government experience within an exciting department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing Employment advice in relation to Employment Law
• Conducting settlement negotiations with opposing representatives
• Providing Employment advise to parties
• Employment based litigation and proceedings in courts, appeals and tribunals
• Interviewing witnesses and recording witness statements

Required Skills and Experience

• A UK qualified solicitor or barrister
• Extensive knowledge of Employment Law and Litigation: i unfair dismissals
• Excellent communication skills to deal with clients and parties from a variety of backgrounds
• Experience of a busy advisory and litigation caseload, with considerable autonomy
• A good drafting and written ability
