Responsibilities of the Education Lawyer include: To be responsible for the conduct of claims and litigation To undertake the representation, including advocacy when appropriate in the tribunals and courts, internal hearings and other procedures when required To provide advice and support to colleagues on legal issues affecting teachers in the region To contribute to the training of staff The successful Education Lawyer will ideally be able to undertake this role on a full-time basis, however candidates seeking a part-time working pattern will be considered.
