Sellick Partnership is delighted to be recruiting for an exciting opportunity for an experienced Planning Lawyer to join a progressive and highly regarded local authority in the West Midlands. This role is offered on a fully remote basis and is available for an initial 3-6 month contract, with the potential for extension.
Joining a collaborative and supportive legal team, you will play a key role in providing expert legal advice across a varied and interesting planning caseload. Responsibilities will include:
- Providing general planning law advice to officers and stakeholders
- Drafting and negotiating Section 106 agreements
- Advising on highway agreements and related matters
- Supporting the council on a broad range of planning and development projects
The successful candidate will have proven experience handling planning law matters and be confident managing their own caseload. While previous local government experience would be advantageous, applications are welcomed from candidates currently working in private practice who are looking to bring their expertise into the public sector.
