An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal to join a highly regarded Property Securitisation team in Colchester, working at the forefront of the affordable housing sector. This is an exciting opportunity for a property-focused paralegal to work alongside experienced Partners and Solicitors on high-value transactions ranging from £1m to £500m, while taking responsibility for their own caseload and developing their technical property experience.

The Opportunity: You'll support a busy team across a variety of significant property transactions, with your workload likely to include:

  • Identifying property titles and obtaining Land Registry documents
  • Undertaking title checks, property due diligence and searches
  • Obtaining information from Local Authorities and other third parties
  • Chasing outstanding documentation and managing transaction requirements
  • Carrying out pre-completion Land Registry searches
  • Assisting with post-completion matters
  • Providing clients, Partners and Solicitors with regular progress updates
  • Helping coordinate and monitor significant transactions
  • Managing your own caseload while working collaboratively with the wider team

About You:

  • Ideally have previous property or conveyancing experience
  • Have strong drafting and legal research skills
  • Have excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • Can manage a busy caseload and prioritise competing deadlines
  • Have strong communication and client care skills
  • Are confident using Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Can work independently while being a supportive team player
  • Are proactive, resilient and keen to develop your career in property
  • A 2:1 degree, LPC/CILEX experience or equivalent would be advantageous
