Senior Associate | Regulatory & Transport Law | £60,000 - £80,000 DOE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Associate or Senior Associate to join a highly regarded regulatory team with a strong presence in the transport and logistics sector.

This role offers the chance to work with a diverse client base ranging from owner-managed businesses to large national operators, advising on a broad range of complex regulatory and compliance matters. The successful candidate will enjoy significant client contact, advocacy opportunities and the ability to play a key role in a growing specialist practice.

The Opportunity

You’ll manage a varied caseload of regulatory matters, supporting clients through investigations, hearings and compliance issues while providing commercially focused advice.

Your workload is likely to include:

  • Advising businesses on regulatory compliance and risk management matters
  • Representing clients at regulatory and licensing hearings
  • Assisting with licence applications, variations and appeals
  • Advising clients facing investigations by regulatory bodies and enforcement agencies
  • Supporting clients through audits, compliance reviews and best practice initiatives
  • Advising on regulatory aspects of corporate transactions and restructures
  • Delivering training and guidance to clients
  • Drafting articles, thought leadership content and sector updates
  • Building strong client relationships and managing your own matters
  • Supporting business development initiatives and growing professional networks
  • Supervising and mentoring junior team members
  • Keeping abreast of legislative and regulatory developments

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor with ideally 5+ years' PQE
  • Background in regulatory, transport, criminal or similar advisory work
  • Confident managing your own caseload
  • Advocacy experience or a desire to develop advocacy skills
  • Excellent communication and drafting abilities
  • Commercial and pragmatic approach to client advice
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Interest in business development and networking
  • Collaborative approach with supervisory experience or an interest in mentoring others
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, hearings and industry events where required
