I'm currently working with a national, Legal 500 and Chambers-ranked law firm that is looking to recruit a Disrepair Solicitor into its highly regarded Housing Management team, following continued growth and success. This team has expanded significantly over the past decade and is now one of the firm's fastest-growing practice areas, acting for Registered Providers and Local Authorities nationwide. They are regularly appointed to some of the largest national and regional frameworks and are well known in the sector for their success defending claims at trial.

The Role

  • Managing your own caseload of litigated housing conditions (disrepair) claims
  • Defending claims on behalf of Registered Providers and Local Authorities
  • Drafting Defences, witness statements, and preparing matters for trial
  • Handling claims from pre-litigation through to trial
  • Working as part of a well‑established and supportive specialist team

About You

  • Previous experience within a Social Housing or Housing Management team
  • Experience defending disrepair claims for Registered Providers and/or Local Authorities
  • A proven ability to run cases to trial
  • A genuine interest in the social housing sector
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload and work effectively as part of a team
  • Advocacy experience is advantageous, but not essential
