We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Locum Solicitor to join an established and reputable law firm based in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a busy and supportive team, providing cover during a period of maternity leave.
The Role: You will manage a varied caseload with a strong emphasis on legally aid matters. The role requires a confident practitioner who can hit the ground running, maintain high standards of client care, and ensure compliance with Legal Aid requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a caseload of legally aided matters from instruction through to conclusion
- Advising clients on a range of issues in line with your area of expertise
- Ensuring compliance with Legal Aid regulations and firm procedures
- Drafting legal documents and representing clients where appropriate
- Maintaining accurate case records and meeting billing targets
Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
- Proven experience handling Legal Aid cases (essential)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
