Sellick Partnership is seeking a skilled Litigation Paralegal to join the Contentious Probate team at a firm in Newbury. The ideal candidate will ideally have previous paralegal experience with a reputable law firm primarily working on matters relating to wills, trusts, and inheritance disputes.

Key Responsibilities:

Attend client meetings and maintain regular communication with clients.Prepare initial drafts of letters and documents, such as witness statements, instructions for legal counsel and experts, Mediation Position Statements, and Settlement Agreements.Assist with mediation preparations (including drafting documents, attending client meetings beforehand, and being present at the mediation with the fee earner).Help with trial preparations (organising and compiling documents, attending client meetings and discussions with counsel, and being present at the trial either remotely or in person).Enhance your knowledge through webinars and training.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be educated to degree level and have 2+ years' paralegal experience in contentious matters.
  • Be able to demonstrate a courteous, helpful, and pleasant manner both in person and on the phone.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and clear written and oral communication.

Be able to work effectively in a team.Have a strong ability to analyse and solve problems with sharp attention to detail.Have excellent organisational abilities, including managing personal online files and document bundles.
