Our client is a well-established law firm based in Truro , and they are seeking an experienced Property Solicitor to join their team on a three-month locum basis .
This is a varied role offering the opportunity to work across both residential and commercial property , with a particular focus on running residential matters while providing supervision and support to a trainee solicitor working within the commercial property team.
The Role The successful locum will take responsibility for managing a caseload of residential property matters , while also working alongside and supervising a trainee solicitor on commercial property matters .
You will be joining an established, collaborative team structure, working alongside the Solicitor Head of Department, trainee solicitor and highly capable paralegals who undertake fee-earning work.
The firm places a strong emphasis on teamwork, so this would suit a solicitor who enjoys working collaboratively while also being confident managing their own caseload and providing guidance to more junior colleagues.
About You We are looking for a qualified solicitor with solid experience across both residential and commercial property.
You will ideally have: Experience handling a varied residential property caseload independently Good knowledge and experience of commercial property matters Experience supervising, supporting or mentoring junior colleagues Strong organisational and time-management skills Excellent client care and communication skills The ability to work effectively as part of a team A pragmatic and professional approach The confidence to take ownership of matters and provide appropriate guidance to the wider team Working Arrangement The role is offered on a hybrid basis , with the successful candidate required to attend the firm's Truro office at least once a week .
The remainder of the role can be undertaken remotely, subject to the firm's requirements.
