A highly regarded, Legal 500-ranked national law firm is seeking a Construction Partner to join its established team in Reading.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Construction Partner or a Senior Associate/Legal Director ready to step into partnership. The role focuses exclusively on non-contentious construction work, with all contentious matters handled by a specialist Disputes team.
The role will include:
- Advising on non-contentious construction matters, including JCT, NEC and FIDIC contracts.
- Drafting and negotiating construction documentation, professional appointments and collateral warranties.
- Supporting Real Estate and Corporate teams on complex transactions.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Playing an active role in business development and the continued growth of the team.
- Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be an experienced Construction Partner or a Senior Associate/Legal Director ready for the next step.
- Have strong experience in non-contentious construction law.
- Be commercially minded with excellent relationship-building skills.
- Enjoy business development and mentoring junior colleagues.
In return, our client is offering a competitive salary of 95,000 - 125,000, 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays, an excellent benefits package, hybrid working and a genuine opportunity to progress to equity.
