A highly regarded, Legal 500-ranked national law firm is seeking a Construction Engineering Associate / Senior Associate to join its growing Construction team in Leeds City Centre.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a team entering a new phase of growth following continued investment and expansion. Working alongside highly respected specialists, you’ll advise on a broad range of complex construction matters while playing a key role in the continued development of the team.
The successful Construction Engineering Solicitor will work with an impressive client base across the construction, real estate and energy sectors, advising developers, contractors, funders, investors and commercial organisations on a wide variety of high-value projects.
The role will include:
- Advising on, drafting and negotiating a range of construction contracts, including JCT, NEC and FIDIC agreements.
- Advising on professional appointments, collateral warranties and wider construction documentation.
- Supporting Real Estate, Energy and other specialist teams on transactions requiring construction expertise.
- Advising on both contentious and non-contentious construction matters, including adjudication, arbitration and litigation where appropriate.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships while delivering commercially focused legal advice.
- Supervising and mentoring junior members of the team.
- Playing an active role in networking, business development, client training and marketing initiatives to support the continued growth of the team.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a Construction Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years PQE.
- Have strong experience advising on construction matters, with experience across both contentious and non-contentious work being desirable.
- Candidates with predominantly non-contentious experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Be confident managing complex matters while maintaining exceptional client service.
- Have experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers.
- Enjoy networking and business development and be keen to contribute to the continued success of the team.
- Be commercially minded, collaborative and motivated to progress within a growing national practice.
