Sellick Partnership is excited to be working with a Legal 500 ranked firm in Leeds who are looking for a Commercial Disputes Associate to join their team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Work on high-quality commercial disputes cases across the UK and internationally.
  • Help grow the team and support the firm's wider business goals.
  • Use court processes and alternative dispute methods like mediation and arbitration to resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with other legal teams to understand the full context of each dispute.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

The successful candidate:

  • 3 + years PQE in commercial disputes, ideally within a private practice setting.
  • Confident handling complex cases and resolving disputes.
  • Experience in private practice, ideally with big or high-value cases.
  • Good legal knowledge and a practical, business-focused approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Comfortable building client relationships and helping grow the business.
  • Open to using legal tech and new ways of working.
  • Motivated, professional, and keen to progress.
