An opportunity has arisen for a Housing Supervising Solicitor to join a growing team at a boutique law firm. This is a great opportunity for an experienced housing lawyer who enjoys managing complex cases while supporting junior team members in a friendly and collaborative environment.

The Role

You will manage a varied caseload of housing matters, including:

  • Possession proceedings
  • Homelessness applications and appeals
  • Disrepair claims
  • Unlawful eviction and harassment matters
  • Judicial review cases
  • Injunctions and anti-social behaviour matters

You will also supervise junior fee earners and caseworkers, while working closely with senior colleagues on more complex matters.

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 5+ years' PQE in housing law
  • Previous supervisory experience or ability to meet LAA supervisor requirements
  • Strong advocacy and case management skills
  • Excellent communication and client care skills
  • Able to manage your own workload independently
  • Organised, proactive, and team-oriented

Desirable

  • Legal Aid experience
  • Experience working under a Legal Aid contract
  • Higher Rights of Audience would be an advantage
