A reputable and growing law firm in Chester is seeking an experienced Head of Residential Conveyancing to lead its established property team. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior conveyancer looking to step into a leadership role or an existing Head seeking a fresh challenge within a supportive and forward-thinking firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing the residential conveyancing department
  • Overseeing a full caseload of residential property matters, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, re-mortgages, and transfers of equity
  • Supervising, mentoring, and developing junior fee earners and support staff
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining high service standards
  • Driving departmental performance and contributing to business growth
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, agents, and other stakeholders

About You:

  • Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or experienced fee earner
  • Strong background in residential conveyancing with proven technical expertise
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Confident managing both a caseload and a team
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
  • Commercially aware with a proactive and client-focused approach
