We are currently working with a top-tier Legal 500 ranked firm in Swindon that is looking for a talented Real Estate Lawyer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and experienced Real Estate law professional to join an award-winning and supportive team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the ongoing management of commercial property portfolios.
- Preparing and negotiating commercial lease agreements, including new leases and renewals.
- Managing the transfer of leasehold interests, including assignments and surrenders.
- Handling applications for landlord consent involving lease assignments, subletting, or tenant alterations.
- Advising on the purchase and sale of various commercial properties, across both freehold and leasehold assets.
- Drafting and negotiating ancillary property documents, including option agreements, conditional sale contracts, rights of pre-emption, and promotion agreements.
- Supporting property elements of corporate transactions, including share and asset sales or acquisitions.
- Acting on behalf of lenders and borrowers in secured lending transactions, particularly in relation to development projects, land assembly, and unit sales.
- Independently manage your own caseload with minimal supervision.
- Oversee delegated work and review output from more junior colleagues.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, supporting their professional development.
- Maintain high standards of client care and contribute to team efficiency and knowledge-sharing.
The successful candidate:
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 5-10 years\’ PQE in legal practice.Proven background in commercial property law, with experience handling a wide range of real estate transactions.Experience in legal knowledge management, training, or professional support roles is a plus.Confident using legal research tools, document management systems, and the Microsoft Office Suite.Self-starter with excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Strong team player with a collaborative mindset and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.Demonstrated client-facing and business development abilities.Clear and engaging presentation skills.Capable of explaining complex legal issues in an accessible and practical manner.
