An exciting opportunity has come up for a number of Public Inquiry Lawyers to join a Central Government team to provide high quality services to an interesting Public Inquiry. The client is looking for an enthusiastic individual who is an experienced Public Inquiry Lawyer to join their Government team on an initial 12 month contract with the potential of an extension.

In order to be eligible for government checks you must have resided in the UK for the past 5 years. As a Public Inquiry Lawyer, you will deal with a range of matters, and you will take responsibility for your own workload and provide effective client care and relationship.

Key Responsibilities of the Public Inquiry Lawyer:
  • Working with colleagues, counsel, clients and witnesses preparing material for the Inquiry.
  • Working with clients at their London offices to prepare their evidence for the Inquiry.
  • Instructing counsel and making use of other external legal resources, where appropriate.
Required Skills and Experience of the Public Inquiry Lawyer:
  • Qualified as a Solicitor or Barrister (or equivalent) in the UK (Must have been in the UK for the past 5 years due to Security Clearance required).
  • Minimum of 2 years Post Qualified Experience.
  • Previous experience of public inquiries and/or reviews is essential.
