We are currently working with a Legal 500 ranked firm in Reading that is looking for a talented Private Client Solicitor to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and experienced Private Client law professional to join a well-regarded and friendly team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage a full and varied caseload, with an initial emphasis on probate and estate administration.
- Advise clients on all aspects of wills, trusts, and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs).
- Provide comprehensive estate and tax planning advice, particularly for High-Net-Worth individuals, business owners, and clients with cross-border interests.
- Work closely with a partner on complex tax planning and wealth structuring matters.
- Deliver tailored inheritance tax advice in line with clients' personal and financial circumstances.
- Undertake trust work, including the drafting, administration, and ongoing management of trusts.
- Offer specialist advice to elderly clients and families with vulnerable or disabled dependants.
- Actively participate in business development initiatives to support the growth of the Private Wealth team.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships through in-person meetings, virtual consultations, and regular communications.
The successful candidate:
- 2-5 years PQE in Wills, Probate, and wider Private Client matters.
- Proven ability to handle a full probate caseload with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated interest or practical experience in estate planning, trusts, and taxation.
- STEP qualification (full or in progress) is highly desirable.
- Technically proficient, with strong IT literacy and experience using case management or workflow platforms.
- Meticulous attention to detail, with a structured and organised approach to work.
- Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal, with a client-focused mindset.
- Commercially minded and forward-thinking, with a strong interest in contributing to business development and the team's growth.
