Sellick Partnership is excited to be recruiting for a local authority in Yorkshire on a permanent basis. We are seeking an Adult Social Care Lawyer to step into a Principal role.

About the Principal Adult Care Lawyer opportunity:

  • This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to step up into a Principal role and will provide you with the opportunity to take the lead on complex matters, alongside the training and development of a busy and growing team.

The duties of the successful Principal Adult Lawyer role will include:

  • Directly line manage a small number of lawyers
  • Handling a caseload of ASC matters, including COP work, DOLS, ordinary residence, mental health act advice
  • Advocacy in court
  • Assisting the team with complex matters
  • Dealing with 1:1s
  • Leading on improvement of the team with policies and procedures

Experience required for the Adult Lawyer role:

For this role you must be a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister. We are keen to hear from candidates that have a good understanding of COP and Adult Social Care law but previous management experience isn't essential. This role will provide you with the perfect opportunity to prove yourself in a dynamic team environment.
