A well-known local authority in London is seeking to recruit an interim Democratic Services Manager to join them on a locum basis.

The Democratic Services Manager will join the London Council on an initial three‑month contract, which will then be extended on a rolling basis.

Office attendance is flexible.

While hybrid working is preferred, remote applicants will still be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Organising and attending Cabinet, Planning Committee and other meetings and committees.
  • Leading on a variety of Democratic Services responsibilities within the team.
  • Line‑management of approximately seven Committee Officers.

Qualifications

  • Several years of experience in Democratic or Committee Services within local government.
  • Ability to start immediately or within a few weeks’ notice.
