This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Legal Director, a Senior Associate ready to take the next step, or a junior Partner seeking a fresh challenge. The successful candidate will play a key role in both the continued growth of the Family Law team and the wider development of the office, combining fee-earning responsibilities with leadership, mentoring, and strategic involvement.

The Opportunity

You'll join a successful and collaborative Family Law team, handling a high-quality caseload of private family matters while taking on a visible leadership role within the practice.

Your responsibilities are likely to include:

  • Managing your own caseload of complex private family law matters
  • Advising clients on divorce, financial remedy, cohabitation, and private children matters
  • Leading and supporting a team of lawyers and support staff
  • Acting as a mentor and developing junior members of the department
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, referrers, and professional contacts
  • Driving business development initiatives and identifying opportunities for growth
  • Supporting the strategic development and performance of the office
  • Meeting fee targets while maintaining exceptional client care standards
  • Contributing to recruitment, retention, and team development
  • Working closely with senior management on the future direction of the practice
  • Maintaining the firm's excellent reputation for quality and client service

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor with significant Family Law experience
  • Currently operating at Legal Director, Senior Associate, or Partner level

  • Proven track record of delivering excellent outcomes for clients
  • Experience supervising, mentoring, and developing colleagues
  • An established client following and referral network
  • Strong business development and networking skills
  • Commercially aware with a strategic mindset
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Organised, proactive, and capable of balancing leadership with fee-earning responsibilities
  • Passionate about contributing to the growth and success of a high-performing team
