Sellick Partnership are currently supporting a fast-growing, specialist marketing and client acquisition business in their search for a Compliance & Assurance Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing organisation working closely with leading law firms and professional services clients across the UK.
Working closely with the Compliance Director & CEO, you will play a key role in shaping and embedding a robust compliance and risk framework as the business transitions into an FCA-regulated environment. This position offers strong career progression, hands-on exposure to regulatory change, and the opportunity to develop within a growing and increasingly regulated business.
Role Overview
The Compliance and Quality Assurance Manager will support the Firm's compliance and risk management framework across both FCA-regulated and unregulated activities. The role reports directly to the Compliance Director (SMF29). The successful candidate will assist with compliance monitoring, risk management processes, advertising and financial promotion reviews, complaints handling, and quality assurance activities. The role requires sound judgement in balancing regulatory requirements with commercial objectives within a controlled risk framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Support compliance monitoring and conduct QA reviews across marketing, lead generation and customer journeys
- Identify, assess and escalate compliance risks, maintaining accurate records and MI
- Review marketing materials and campaigns to ensure compliance with Financial Conduct Authority requirements, including Consumer Duty
- Ensure adherence to UK GDPR and Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003
- Support and, where authorised, approve financial promotions and monitor live activity
- Support risk management activities, including maintaining the risk register and contributing to reporting
- Assist with complaints handling in line with FCA DISP, including investigations and root-cause analysis
- Maintain policies and procedures, support governance, audits and regulatory enquiries, and escalates issues appropriately
- Identify and manage breaches and incidents, including documentation and remediation support
- Review customer communications for compliance and quality
- Support the delivery of compliance training across the business
About you
You will be a proactive and detail-oriented compliance professional with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment.
- 2+ years' experience in compliance, risk or governance
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to interpret regulatory and legal requirements
- Excellent written communication and documentation skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Working knowledge of: Financial Conduct Authority Handbook (CMCOB, PRIN, DISP, SYSC, PERG), Advertising Standards Authority CAP & BCAP Codes, UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018 and Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003
