Our Local Authority client is looking to recruit the support of an experienced Interim Head of Legal Service to support the Director in the day-to-day management of the Legal function.
Duties will include:
- Management of a small, established legal team, including work allocation and conduct of supervisory one-to-ones.
- Providing legal advice on more complex legal issues.
- Deputising for the Deputy Monitoring Officer as required.
This is a hybrid working role with office attendance required twice a week. The client is looking to appoint on the basis of a 4 or 5-day working week.
Previous local government experience is highly desirable; however, the client is willing to consider management experience gained from the wider public or private sectors.
