Sellick Partnership are delighted to be currently recruiting an experienced Planning Lawyer to join a busy London Council. Our client is seeking an experienced Planning Lawyer to join their team on a permanent basis. This opportunity is on a hybrid working basis, with a preference for one to two days per week in the office. Our client is ideally seeking someone who is able to work full-time hours. This role is an excellent opportunity for a qualified planning lawyer with any level PQE who is looking to develop their skills in a London Council that gets a really interesting variety of work.

Key responsibilities of the Planning Lawyer:

  • Dealing with a variety of planning matters such as:
  • Highways work
  • S106's
  • S78's
  • Deeds of variations on S106's
  • Planning committee
  • To deputise for others in more senior positions as and when required
  • Experience/qualifications required for the Planning Lawyer position:

    • Must be a qualified Lawyer (Solicitor, Barrister or CILEx) with a current practising certificate - all PQE levels will be considered
    • Able to work on a hybrid basis one to two days per week in the office and attendance at committee
    • This role requires someone who is able to work full-time; part-time requests will be considered
    • You must have strong experience in planning law, ideally from within a local authority setting; however, candidates from private practice are encouraged to apply
