Sellick Partnership is recruiting for an Education Lawyer to join a reputable local authority in the North West on a locum basis while the council undertakes permanent recruitment.
Responsibilities:
- Managing a caseload of complex cases, comprising mainly SEN admission appeals, with minimum supervision.
- Advising on Education law generally, including the preparation of proceedings in relation to Schools and Academies, parents, and pupils.
- Handling a substantial caseload, often working to strict deadlines and on short notice.
Preferences & Working Pattern:
- Prior experience within Local Government is preferred but not essential.
- The successful candidate will ideally be able to undertake the role on a full-time basis, although part-time working patterns will also be considered.
- Remote candidates may be considered with some attendance.
