A highly regarded and growing Community Care & Welfare team is seeking a motivated and compassionate Solicitor or Legal Executive to join their specialist firm based in Reading. This full‑time, permanent role offers hybrid working and the opportunity to work on meaningful, privately funded matters involving health, social care, and Court of Protection issues. The successful candidate will manage a caseload with supervision and benefit from ongoing training and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of community care and welfare matters under supervision.
  • Draft legal documents including advice letters, Court of Protection applications, and pre‑action letters.
  • Liaise with clients, experts, and public bodies.
  • Support senior fee earners and contribute to legal research and business development.

Requirements

  • Experience or strong interest in Community Care, Court of Protection, or Public Law.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident handling a caseload with appropriate supervision.
  • Strong IT skills and attention to detail.
