Our client, a Local Authority based in Essex is seeking an experienced Housing Disrepair Lawyer to join their Legal Services team on an ongoing locum basis, pending permanent recruitment. Ideally, the successful candidate will be able to undertake this role on a hybrid working basis, although candidates seeking a fully remote working pattern will be considered. Partātime or fullātime working hours will be considered.
Responsibilities of the Housing Disrepair Lawyer:
- Manage a caseload of housing litigation matters, with a particular focus on disrepair cases, dealing with cases from preālitigation through to conclusion of litigation
- Set up and implement new processes with regards to housing disrepair workload
- Workload may also include dealing with wider housing matters, to include possession proceedings, injunctions, closure orders and enforcement cases
Experience required for the Housing Disrepair Lawyer:
- Prior experience within housing disrepair law
- Strong understanding of the preāaction protocol for housing conditions claims and the litigation process
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or equivalent
