The Role
As Principal Accountant, you will
- Provide expert financial advice and support to senior managers and stakeholders.
- Lead on budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and statutory reporting activities.
- Deliver high-quality financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, legislation and financial regulations.
- Support the development and implementation of financial strategies and policies.
- Identify opportunities for service improvement, efficiency and innovation.
- Develop effective relationships across the organisation and act as a trusted financial adviser.
- Support, mentor and develop members of the finance team.
About You
- We are seeking an experienced and proactive finance professional who can demonstrate:
- A recognised professional accountancy qualification (CCAB or equivalent).
- Significant experience within a complex finance environment.
- Strong technical accounting and financial management skills.
- Experience of budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
