Temporary (3 Months)
£21.40 per hour
A well-established Not for profit organisation in the North East is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join its finance team on a temporary basis for an initial 3-month assignment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who has gained ideally experience working within a not-for-profit environment to quickly integrate into a busy finance function and provide support across a range of financial activities.
Key Responsibilities;
- Processing and monitoring accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Assisting with budget monitoring and financial reporting
- Performing bank, balance sheet, and control account reconciliations
- Supporting month-end and year-end finance processes
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
- Assisting with grant funding and project expenditure monitoring where required
- Resolving financial queries from internal and external stakeholders
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc financial analysis and administrative duties
- Knowledge & Skills;
- Ideally previous experience working within a not-for-profit organisation
- Experience operating within a transactional or management accounting environment
- Strong knowledge of financial systems and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with a range of stakeholders
