An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Information Governance Lead, offering you an exciting opportunity to support the information governance processes of the public sector organisation. The role is initially for 4 weeks, with the likelihood of extension while recruiting on a permanent basis.
As Information Governance Lead, your work will be varied across the whole range of information governance activity, and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Direct line management of 1 Data Protection Officer
- Particular focus on supporting Freedom of Information and Data Protection processes
- Co-ordinating response processes across all the directorates in the organisation
- Preparing responses for those requests requiring public interest considerations
- Ensuring the Council complies with the associated statutory requirements and deadlines for performance
The role can be worked on a remote basis aside from IT collection on the first day.
Public sector experience is preferable, however, our client may be happy to consider experience gained in other sectors.
