About the Role

Are you a knowledgeable, customer‑service focused IT Technician looking for your next career step? Pick Everard is searching for an IT Technician to join our collaborative team on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract, operating from our central Leicester head office. You will provide excellent I.T. support, maintaining Pick Everard’s digital platform and the I.T. provision for all staff.

Duties include:

  • Troubleshooting, resolving incidents, service requests and changes on a day‑to‑day basis.
  • Installing hardware and software, building machines ready for deployment.
  • Providing on‑site assistance at other Pick Everard offices.

This role is key to the operational success of the IT team and the wider business. It offers a great opportunity to develop your skills and progress within the world of I.T. Hybrid working is available, though you will predominantly be based in Leicester and will attend national site visits on a rota shared with other team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, service requests and changes.
  • Install and configure hardware and software, build machines for deployment.
  • Provide on‑site I.T. assistance at Pick Everard offices.
  • Support the I.T. team’s operations and contribute to the wider business success.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite or equivalent competence.
  • Excellent customer‑orientated communication skills (verbal & written).
  • Strong team‑working skills.
  • Proven background in an I.T.‑related profession, demonstrating hands‑on experience with systems, troubleshooting and industry best practices.

Preferred (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with configuration and implementation of SCCM.
  • Current Microsoft Windows Server versions and Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS & DHCP experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange configuration, housekeeping & troubleshooting.
