Selini Capital is looking for a sharp, ambitious Quant Trader to join our DeFi trading team. In this role, you will help us push toward the #1 spot in on-chain trading by improving strategy performance, scaling automation, and deeply understanding what drives PnL in decentralized markets.
You will work closely with both traders and developers, and you will have direct impact on production PnL from day one. You will be expected to:
- Research, design and improve DeFi trading strategies across multiple venues and protocols.
- Build models and simulations to understand market behaviour and execution outcomes.
- Develop automation and tools for strategy configuration, parameter fitting, and monitoring.
- Work with large-scale market dynamics where our own actions can move the market (game theory).
- Contribute Python code to shared research and production workflows.
- Continuously study competitors and market structure.

Qualifications
You should have:
- 1–5 years of professional experience in the trading industry.
- Strong Python background to operate independently on and contribute to a shared codebase and research environment.
- Demonstrated quantitative excellence, such as top academic performance in CS, math, physics, or engineering; Olympiad success (e.g. IMO, IPhO, IOI); internship or full-time experience at a highly selective tech company or fund.
- Ability to pick up new concepts quickly, take ownership, and communicate clearly.
Preferences
- Familiarity or interest with DeFi: working with smart contracts, blockchain APIs, MEV, or Solana.
- Has shipped production code for trading strategies.
- Strong math or statistics foundation, especially around modeling or simulation.
