As an In-House Conveyancer at Selina, your goal is simple: to provide the critical legal support that underpins our fast and flexible lending. You will be a cornerstone of our secured lending operations, managing key legal processes from within the business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a conveyancing professional seeking to gain more business experience and build their vision of what great conveyancing looks like, in a dynamic, fast-paced FinTech environment.


What will you be doing?

  • Build out and own Selina’s Conveyancing process: Help guide the automation of the necessary title checks on our internal management platform, providing key legal insights to the team

  • Own the legal details: Manage all key legal components of our secured lending transactions, from title reviews and registrations to redemptions and discharges.

  • Drive efficient transactions: Handle the timely and accurate registration of property and legal charges with HM Land Registry, ensuring our security is always protected.

  • Manage post-completion processes: Process the removal of mortgages and legal charges post-redemption and administer mortgage redemptions, liaising with other lenders to confirm settlement.

  • Collaborate for success: Work closely with the wider business to communicate complex legal issues in a commercial, solutions-focused way.

  • Recruit and lead a team of 1-3 paralegals and junior conveyancers as we expand our in-house capabilities in the next year


About you:

  • Are a qualified and Licensed Conveyancer (or Solicitor) with prior hands-on conveyancing experience working with mortgage lenders.

  • Have a strong, practical understanding of Land Registry processes and the requirements of secured lending.

  • Possesses excellent attention to detail with a talent for identifying and managing risk.

  • Can work independently and are skilled at communicating complex legal issues in a clear, commercial, and solutions-focused manner.

  • Are comfortable working in a fast-moving, tech-driven environment.

  • Prior in-house experience is a plus, but not essential.
